and then, on the way home

tying up the loose end that is/was san francisco. holy smokes with the highway 101 and all there is to see along the way. we stopped about every five miles and you might think I'm kidding but I am not. between paul bunyan's giant boot and the spectacular pacific ocean and beach caves and hippie farmers markets and emus (yes, emus) and the giant-sized redwood drive-through trees, well, we never really stood a chance. it took us five days to get home. okay, not really. but many many hours. many many many hours.

it's been a little quiet here lately, yes I know. oh friends. so much going on. most of it good, a tiny bit not so good. and the postcard swap, I know. I am slow in pulling it all together this year but it's happening, I promise, it's happening.

Take your time on the postcard swap--I'm enjoying procrastinating on that one right now :)

  6. I am simply a "lurker" that visits your site daily...I love your creativity and view of life...always a treat when you post a new entry...your San Fran series prompted me to really look around at all of my surroundings...amazing all the stuff I miss as I go around and through my day. The little bit of not so good makes the good all the better.

  8. Hi Andrea,
love these pictures- Hwy 101 is a magical journey in NorCal. I do agree.

I might have to back out of the post card swap this year (although I do have a good idea...) Just becuase we are in the count down to the new babe (I am at 36weeks on Sat and that means 4 or less weeks until I am truly a mama). I just don't know if I can commit to pulling together cards to swap and doing all the new duties of parenthood. can you drop me an email before you organize so I don't let anyone down?

thanks sweets- hope you are well!!

  15. I've also been a 'lurker' and 'non-comment-er' for sometime now :o) but your words are too sweet and your photos are too lovely so I had to be another to let you know... thanks for the constant eye candy and inspiration to notice and be amazed by my own surroundings.

  18. As a grown child that has less than a handful of pics from my childhood (which is very sad since I was cute THEN) your children are very blessed to have so many pictures recording their lives - and so many perfect shots!! You are incredibly talented!
