doing: a list a week from now until january 2011. starting tomorrow. assorted topics mostly culled from a sweet little site
) I love. am approaching this as a weekly writing exercise of sorts-- a soft place to land in the event I lose words or run out of things to say. because ruts are inevitable. and because there's always a list to make. always.
also, what does a year of list-making look like? I'd like to know.
This is a great idea! I wasReplyDelete
also inspired by these groovy
books last year and posted a
few on my blog. I never thought
to make a point to do one every
week. Sounds like a fantastic
well, first you need a list of what you want to make your lists about... tee hee.ReplyDelete
This reminds me of Lisa Congdon's (spelling?) project where she is photographing her collections this year.
hope to see you this weekend!
good luck on your weekly lists! I love making lists of things but I don't know if I could think of 52 things to make lists about. Can't wait to see what you come up with and share.ReplyDelete
you know i can't wait!ReplyDelete
a great idea - finally I know I'm not alone in the compulsive list making! Love it - keep doing it because your lists constantly inspire me!ReplyDelete
LOVE THIS IDEA!ReplyDelete
I LOVE to make lists, I'm glad I'm not alone in the list-making world. Everytime I stop by your blog I smile!ReplyDelete
lists are wonderful things :)ReplyDelete
ooo! making your own listography? I'm planning on making my own "wreck this journal"... good luck!ReplyDelete
This is a cool little site.ReplyDelete
this could be the most awesome thing ever! i'm looking forward to keeping up with your lists week to week. =)ReplyDelete
i had no idea they had a site. i bought the love lists for my boyf for Christmas. I love lists. Thanks :)ReplyDelete
omg! what a great site. i could get lost in there for hours. list making for me mainly means blasted to-do lists and lists of music i want to look into (and always to) and books that i want to read (and never do) and websites that i want to check out. but listography takes the cake, baby.ReplyDelete
I just lost an hour of my life on listography. Oh dear.ReplyDelete
ooh. wonderful idea. love.ReplyDelete
married to a list maker for over 30 years - i am decidedly NOT a list maker. but as you did last year - you make me re-think my non-listiness. "55 things to do before I turn 55" #1 - visit hula seventy every day and see what she's up to. #2- get depressed over my lack of creativity #3 ...ReplyDelete
I publish a weekly gratitude list (with extra lists when things seem to be going poorly):ReplyDelete
It has improved my spirit, my health, my quality of life, immeasurably.
BTW, here's some gratitude: THANK YOU. I LOVE YOUR BLOG.
LOL. Happy 2010!
There are so many kids of lists to make. You have sparked a great idea in my head: lists of all the things that make you you: favorite kids of cupcakes, places you've visited, favorite things in your house, what you like about your husband...The possibilities are endless. And what a fun thing to bind and save for your kids, your grandkids...Maybe I'll be making lists for my whole family. James' lists when he is 5, William's lists when he is 3.ReplyDelete
I think I am catching your list fever!
I can't wait! I always love your lists and can't resist making lists myself...ReplyDelete
Andrea, you have done it again...posted something to inspire me! thank you!ReplyDelete
i love making lists and have followed your lead many times! i agree with 'mommy of three' above, listography is another way of documenting your life and that of your family as well....so many list titles are running through my head.
cant wait to see yours through the year!
I am an accomplished list-maker myself. I recently went through some old journals and discovered the lists in the back hadn't changed very much from my modern-day lists! "pick up library books, go to hardware store, sew up hole in jeans, walk Lucy, learn German..." :)ReplyDelete
It's not possible to take lists too far!!! It's an awesome undertaking (and I'm very excited to read your lists).ReplyDelete
YAY!!! You go for it, lovely :)ReplyDelete
(and...i mIsS you.)
Oh, I think that's SUCH a fabulous idea I may have to "borrow" it! Think of all the great pages that will become of the lists. And all the tidbits to pass along to others.ReplyDelete
Love love loving this idea... I may have to join in!ReplyDelete
That's funny, making a list every week is one of my goals for 2010 and I was inspired by your blog when I wrote it! :) Good luck!ReplyDelete
thanks for the link.
This is such a rad idea. List lovers, UNITE.ReplyDelete
I love this idea.. I think I will steal it. :) Your lists are always good. really good.ReplyDelete
Fun idea! I can't get enough of list making :)ReplyDelete
always ready for a list! great idea.ReplyDelete
LOVE it! I can't wait to make my list of things I want to make lists of. FUN.ReplyDelete
PS: Love the Friends reference in your title! I'm watching Season 6 right now...or, as it should be called, "The one where Rachel has those terrible hair extensions."ReplyDelete
This is amazing, coming another fellow compulsive list-maker. I just might have to take up something similar to whip my butt in 2010! Thanks for the inspiration.ReplyDelete
I came across your project from Relyn. I'm starting my 52 lists late, but I had to join the fun! Better now than never, right?ReplyDelete
My first post is "Confessions of a List Maker" at www.ayearofhappy.com.
Thanks for the idea!
My older sister just gifted me Lisa Nola's LISTOGRAPHY (The original one). I swooned over it as I knew it was the perfect book for my personality, and very shortly thereafter I thought of your list posts (they've been very fun to read). Little did I know that you were inspired by Lisa's book. I love the little connections in this massive electronic web.ReplyDelete
Oohh!!! What a great idea. I'm always making lists for myself. Thank you for the inspiration.ReplyDelete
Love it, love it, love it! I'm such a listmaker too. I just can't help myself. What a great project. :)ReplyDelete
I just found your blog via Kelly Rae, and wow, I LOVE this idea so much! I am always looking for more things to blog, and I think I might just get on with this one! Love your blog, thanks for the inspiration. xReplyDelete
I started my own list project last week. :) I've linked your Flickr and blog and did indeed mention that you are wholly responsible for inspiring me to do this. So awesome. I hope you'll take a look at my blog sometime.ReplyDelete
Have a nice weekend!
