I, too, posted a photo today that works for the "if you need a lift" theme extremely well. Come to think of it, our two images would make a lovely uplifting diptych :)
Miss you, friend. Much to update you on and hope all is well and beauty-full in your neck of the woods!
Great picture. I remember when my brother and I were little, we would make our own version of pixie stix by mixing up a baggie of sugar and koolaid. My brother and I never figured out how Mom always knew what we'd been up to. I guess we never noticed our own purple index fingers.
I remember these. If I poured too much in my mouth too fast, it would be dry and I'd cough and get some up in my nose........what a funny thing to remember.
Yeah, I remember the days when sugar wasn't considered a bad thing. Kids today don't have it as good as I did.
My favorite snacks though were white bread and potato chip sandwiches. And sometimes we'd make up white bread and white sugar sandwiches......sick, I know. What can I say????????
Oh and we also loved making our own popsicles out of kool-aid.
Thanks for inspiring fun childhood memories. I needed that today.
thanks, all! you know, yesterday was national donut day and I almost posted a photo of a chocolate donut with sprinkles. but ultimately decided against it. don't want to become known as the all-sugar/all the time blog.
this is awesome! it certainly gave me a lift!

Mmmmmmmmmmm.....pixie stix! Nothing like flavored sugar in a straw to make even the most timid become hyper-spastic!
