things I feel I simply must do the day before a big trip:
pull out entire contents of bathroom
organize said contents, particularly the travel size toiletries
fall down sunscreen research rabbit hole
test all nail polish colors
test all lipstick colors
make packing list
re-write list two, maybe three times
re-write list until in perfect order
spend inordinate amount of time on list
deep clean entire house
