this weekend

I was all set to tackle the chaos in the basement this weekend, I was. boxes and labels and sharpies, ready to go. I was in the perfect frame of mind, I was ready to take it on.

and then I saw it. the weekend forecast for the oregon coast. two days of guaranteed sunshine. two days of blue skies. two. whole. days.

and so the aforementioned plans were promptly chucked. bags were hastily packed and thrown into the car and people were happy. as it turns out, the people were ready for a road trip. late saturday afternoon found us barefoot on the beach. barefoot! in the middle of february! which, of course, was worth all the meticulously organized basements in the free world. and then some.

  1. these images are gorgeous andrea!

my family was on completely the same wavelength. we ended up on a beach not too far from cannon beach. i'm pretty sure it was one of the best days of my entire life...my entire family, barefoot in feb, not a cloud in the sky and a few packs of film. dreamy to the core!

  2. I've had a disassembled bookshelf outside my daughter's room for weeks now (an excellent Craigslist purchase) waiting for me to organize her piles of books and toys. But it's been sunny every weekend and really? Not even a choice...

    Glad you had fun!

  6. Andrea! These photos make me want to crawl inside of them and never leave. We had the same amazing weather here too, and like you = we totally had other (more boring) plans and took advantage of the sun.

    I love the coast!!
