a love letter of sorts

to summer, which is not over, not even close, even though we've been tricked into thinking it is, second week of school and all.

and to lightning bugs, which I never ever (ever) get tired of, even after 48 years of living. gimme all the humidity in the world if it means I get lightning bugs every summer.

anyway, this is what I watch when I'm riddled with anxiety (which, unfortunately, is often these days). this little film I made three years ago is what I watch when it feels like I'm drowning.

  2. You have a beautiful spirit that flows through all of your lists and photos and films, showing us the world you love and want to protect. Sending good thoughts for you to keep sharing even in these dark times. You are my firefly.

  3. Absolutely beautiful, thanks for sharing this x PS I check in every day with your posts, they clear my mind and calm me, they help me to focus on all the good in the world - people, places, things. And sometimes you post things that really reinforce the idea of collective consciousness for me, it's borderline uncanny! Finally (this isn't really a postscript, is it!) I also have family videos I watch which my daughter makes - they also clear out the flotsam and jetsam and remind me I have so much to be thankful for! Please keep writing, making lists, taking pictures and making videos, I'm willing to bet checking in here is part of many other people's daily routine, and they feel just the same as I do :-)

    1. I cannot thank you enough for taking the time to share these thoughts with me. I do wonder what I'm even doing here sometimes but I know there's a bigger picture and things at work of which I'm often completely unaware, I just feel the pull to make and write and share and I try to honor that as much as I can. just, thank you. xo
